II. Other Pertinent Information

1.  	Information regarding signage may be found in Article 14-34 of the City of Peoria Zoning Ordinance.  Chapter 14 of the City Code (the Zoning Ordinance) is available for purchase ($10) from the Planning Division, 9875 N. 85th Ave., Peoria, AZ  85345, Planning Counter.  The Zoning Ordinance is also available for free online at: http://www.peoriaaz.gov/planning

2.   Sign Walker Signage Restrictions:
a. Limited to 12 square feet (maximum), and no more that 6 feet in any one direction.
b. Allowed for 1 year per permit. The permit must be held on person during use.
c. The following elements are prohibited: animation or illumination, including flashing, blinking or rotating lights; mirrors or other reflective materials; and attachments, including but not limited to balloons, ribbons or speakers.
d. Sign walkers may only operate during the hours the business, event or sales office is open.
e. Location:
i. No sign walker shall be located within 30 feet of an intersection or 30 feet from any ingress or egress point.
ii. Sign walkers shall not be located in a median or street, drive aisles, parking stalls, driveways, or on sidewalks in a manner that provides less than a minimum 4 feet free and clear pedestrian passage. Sign walkers may not obstruct pedestrian or vehicular access. Sign walkers shall not locate on walls, boulders, planters, other signs, utility facilities or any structure.
iii. Non-Residential Sign Walkers
1. Shall only be located on the frontage(s) upon which the business public entry is oriented to. Businesses interior to a complex/center the sign walker shall locate only on the frontage for said complex or center.
2. One sign walker permitted per establishment.
iv. Residential Sign Walkers:
1. One sign walker permitted per subdivision or residential development.
2. Sign walkers shall be located on the nearest arterial roadway of the residential subdivision or multi-family development to which the sign pertains.
