Don't Hesitate, Recreate!

The City of Peoria’s Recreation Division offers over 200 classes for preschoolers, youths, teens, and adults. From Cool Creatures to Drawing, CPR for Youth to Ceramics, Fencing to Self Defense...Our special interest classes have something for everyone!

Parent-Tot Classes

Designed for parents to participate in developmental leisure activities with children ages 6 months to 3 years.

Pre-School Classes

Designed for children ages 3 to 5 years.  Introduction to a variety of activities.  Includes group socialization and skill development.

Youth Classes

Elementary-age youth ages 5 to 13 classes are offered year-round, including evenings, weekends, after school, and daytime during school breaks.

Teen Classes

Classes for teens ages 12-16 are offered during year-round.  Various adult classes are also open to teens 13 and older. Special camps are available during the summer.

Adult Classes

Adults of all ages can try new activities or fine-tune existing leisure skills during our evening and weekend classes and workshops.

Registration is on-going as space permits.  Classes that do not meet minimum registration requirements may be canceled 5 business days prior to class.
