How were fees and
policies determined for the center?
Fees and
policies were established through a year
long process of gathering and comparing
information from similar facilities in other
communities. Based upon our findings, the
Community Services Department submitted a
fee structure to the Peoria City Council in
May 2007. This fee structure was determined
to be in line with other communities and was
subsequently adopted by City Council.
Policies have been
established to ensure the safety and
enjoyment of everyone who enters the
facility. While some policies might seem too
restrictive or perhaps unnecessary, nearly
every policy is designed to address issues
which have occurred at similar facilities.
Policies were reviewed and adopted by the
Parks and Recreation Board in June 2007.
