Environmental Preparedness
Don't Toss Hazardous Waste
If you are among the many individuals who take advantage of the beautiful Peoria weather to do some cleaning of the closets (and cupboards, garage, etc.), please remember to properly dispose of any household hazardous waste. To make it easier on you, the City of Peoria sponsors various special collection days throughout the year. The primary goal is to divert all household hazardous waste from our landfill mainstream. Air Pollution and Quality
Air quality can affect health inside and outside of the home. It can also increase haze, which reduces visibility. ADEQ has many air quality plans, statutes, and ordinances to keep our air clean. The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) works closely with federal, state, and local agencies to develop strategies for preventing air pollution.
