NOVEMBER 4, 2008 SPECIAL RECALL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that the City of Peoria, Arizona will hold a Special Recall Election for the Acacia District on November 4, 2008.

Office to be filled on the November 4, 2008 Ballot:

Eligible registered voters living within the Acacia District will be voting for a candidate to represent their District on the City Council.  

Election Information and Candidate Packets are available during normal business hours Monday through Friday at the:

August 6, 2008:  First day to file nomination petitions and paperwork to run for Councilmember in the Acacia District.

September 5, 2008:  Last day to file nomination petitions and paperwork to run for Councilmember in the Acacia District.  Nomination petitions and paperwork must be filed with the City Clerk’s Office by 5:00 p.m.

							GENERAL ELECTION

First Day to Vote Early Ballot				October 2, 2008

Voter Registration Deadline				October 6, 2008 

Last Day to Request an Early Ballot by Mail		October 24, 2008

Last Day to Vote Early Ballot at On-site Locations	October 31, 2008

Last Day of Emergency Voting				November 3, 2008
