ON OUR ROADS

Lane Restrictions
Vistancia Blvd. south of Lone Mt. will be restricted from March 3-21.  The contractor performing this work is BBP Construction Company.  Their contact person, David, can be reached at 623-694-1350.  The City of Peoria Off-Site Inspector is Stephen Booker; contact phone is 623-298-8527.

Lake Pleasant Parkway
The long-awaited Parkway is open for business!  Your drive through the Mesquite district is now much easier than before and soon businesses will begin to open to complement our expanding city.  Take care to follow the speed limits and watch carefully for other drivers getting accustomed to the new roadway, too.

Happy Valley Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway Shopping Corners
Concern has been expressed regarding the safety of drivers making anything except right turns in and out of the Target Plaza and Best Buy Plaza as drivers cross Happy Valley Road.  Currently our Engineering Department is evaluating whether Right Turn In Only/Right Turn Out Only restrictions are a necessary choice for these shopping centers.  You will be kept up-to-date if signage changes in the area.

Vehicle Refuge Completed
The vehicle refuge striping on Happy Valley Road, exiting and entering the Loop 303, was completed this month.  This delineation paint provides drivers with an area to wait while they make their way across Happy Valley Road.  Click here to see the new addition.

Update on 107th Avenue
Construction on 107th Avenue near Happy Valley Road had come to a standstill for a short time due to permit problems that arose when working with more than one jurisdiction.  The project is back on track and all signs of construction are scheduled to be completed and removed within 2-3 months.  This will be a much needed relief for residents in the area!

91st Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Signal Update
Signal installation is scheduled to begin in late March.  Combs Constructions will be in charge of installation; the same contractor who installed the light at 83rd Avenue and Thunderbird.  Completion is expected in the month of July.

IN OUR CITY

A Growing City
As the city grows so does the need for services and personnel.  Recently the city completed construction on the new Development and Community Services Building, located just south of the main city hall complex.  This new building now holds our Parks and Recreation Departments, Engineering, Community Development, Public Works, and Utilities.  Click the link below to view a map of the complex.
