ON OUR ROADS...
89th
Avenue and Williams
The City of Peoria awarded a contract to Banicki
Construction to improve 89th Avenue between Deer Valley Road and
Williams Road. Improvements include new pavement, storm
drain pipe, valley gutter, curb and gutter.
Construction
will begin the end of September; the project is slated for
completion in November 2007. Construction work hours will
be 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Hours will vary with
seasonal changes and construction crews will work weekends, if
needed.
This project is
being constructed in partnership with the Maricopa County
Department of Transportation.
During
the construction, traffic lane restrictions may occur in the
work area so allow yourself extra time to get where you are
going, as there may be traffic delays. Slow down,
pay attention to signs and signals and do not go into the work
zone until the project is complete. Please note that when
the contractor installs the valley gutter in the center of 89th
Avenue, left turns will not be permitted until the concrete has
cured. In addition, do not move barricades or
traffic signs as they are in place for your protection. Please
note that access for residents, businesses and emergency
vehicles will be maintained at all times.
