plans examiners review construction documents submitted for residential homes, commercial
projects, tenant improvements and miscellaneous structures. They are responsible for
approving these construction documents for compliance to applicable building codes and
assisting the permit specialists in computing permit fees, which are based upon the
building's size and construction type. The plans examiners also assist the general public
and design professionals with interpretations of adopted city building codes and
ordinances. |
