permit specialists process all applications submitted for construction permits, route all
plans submitted to the various departments for plan reviews, compute fees for construction
permits (including plan review, development and impact fees). Perform plan reviews for
residential remodeling, swimming pools and spas, detached accessory buildings and
structures, manufactured homes, signs and fences. The permit specialists also assist the
general public with interpretations of adopted City codes and ordinances.
