Fact:
The year-to-year costs of living within municipal boundaries are comparable to those in an unincorporated county island. While property taxes for Peoria residents are more, the difference is usually offset by lower insurance premiums and elimination of the need to pay for a separate fire service provider (such as Rural Metro).
