Adaptive Recreation Program

Inclusion Program

In an effort to better serve individuals with disabilities and their families, the Adaptive Recreation Program has begun to offer a variety of inclusion services.  This will provide citizens with several approaches to increase one's level of leisure participation.

I.    Leisure Assessments
Through a leisure assessment, staff will identify recreational interests, provide specific leisure resources, and identify adaptive equipment available.  Peoria residents are encouraged to call Paula at (623) 773-7436 to schedule an appointment.


II.  Community Integration
Staff is available to consult with individuals about the various City recreation programs, assist with registrations and help overcome leisure barriers to ensure a positive leisure experience.
