Deputy Fire Chief Earns Rare Designation
Ferguson Becomes One of Only 500 'Chief Fire Officers' Worldwide

Peoria Deputy Fire Chief Scott Ferguson has earned the professional designation “chief fire officer” from the Center for Public Safety Excellence. He becomes one of only about 500 people worldwide with that designation. Ferguson, a Peoria resident who is the PFD’s deputy chief for support services, also graduated recently from the Executive Fire Officer Program of the U.S. Fire Administration/National Fire Academy.
