City to Begin Accepting Applications for Non-profit Funds

PEORIA, Ariz. (Dec. 4, 2009) – Each year the city
of Peoria awards grants in-aid to not-for-profit social service and human
service agencies whose programs benefit Peoria’s residents This year, the city
will begin accepting proposals by not-for-profit agencies for Fiscal Year 2011
(July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011) on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010. Agencies may qualify to
receive funding through the HOME Program, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG),
and General Fund Not-for-Profit funds.
HOME Program and CDBG applicants will be required to submit proposals on-line
utilizing United Way’s e-C Impact software. General Fund applicants will
continue to use the paper application.
To assist in the transition, the city has scheduled two training sessions on the
use of e-C Impact: Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; and Thursday, Dec.
10, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. These sessions will be held in the Development and
Community Services Building, Point of View conference room (1st floor), located
at 9875 N. 85th Avenue. No registration is required.
General Fund paper applications as well as a link to apply for HOME Program and
CDBG funds will be available at
www.peoriaaz.gov/notforprofitgrants beginning Jan. 4, 2010.
The deadline to submit applications is Jan. 29. For more information, contact
