City Official to Talk Sustainability at Statewide Meeting

Maria Laughner, Peoria’s acting Economic Development manager, will present Peoria’s Sustainability Action Plan during a panel discussion on Friday, Sept. 4, at the Arizona League of Cities & Towns’ annual conference. The purpose of the plan is to ensure that economic, environmental and social interests are considered in the city’s decision-making process. The goal is to promote and achieve sustainability in operations and business practices, as well as in future growth and development. Laughner will be part of a panel organized by the Sustainable Cities Network, a regional organization housed at Arizona State University’s Global Institute of Sustainability.
