City, County Seek Public Input on 83rd Avenue Project

The city of Peoria and the Maricopa County Department of Transportation will hold an open house Monday, June 15, to present plans for improvements to 83rd Avenue between Calle Lejos and Williams Road. Those improvements include widening the three-lane roadway to five lanes (two travel lanes in each direction with a center left-turn lane); installing curbs, gutters and bike lanes; and intersection and drainage improvements. The event will be in the Education Building at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 8902 W. Deer Valley Road. Folks can stop by anytime between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to speak with project team members.
