PEORIA,
Ariz. (June 2, 2009) – Owning and operating a successful business remains a
vital part of the American dream. While many owners and entrepreneurs may be
experts in their chosen fields, few have all the answers – but the small
business seminars offered by Peoria’s Economic Development Department can help.
The
topic for Wednesday, June 17 is “Business Help during Troubled Times.” James H.
Pipper, currently a Business Development Officer with the U.S. Small Business
Administration (SBA), will present a hands-on approach to getting financial
assistance, especially during periods of economic transition.
Pipper has been with the SBA for 26 years and handled a large portfolio of
problem loans during his tenure, giving him a unique insight into dealing with
many of the difficulties business owners currently face.
This
free event will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in
the Pine Room at Peoria City Hall (8401 W. Monroe Street, Peoria).
Although free, registration for the event is required. For more information and
to register, please e-mail Debbie Pearson at Debbie.Pearson@peoriaaz.gov or call
623-773-5210. Registration for this event closes on June 16th.
