Recycling, Bond Videos Earn Awards for Channel 11

Peoria Channel 11 has won gold EMPixx Awards for its 2008 recycling and bond-election videos. The EMPixx Awards are a competition honoring excellence in the production of five categories of moving pixels: television commercials; television programs; corporate videos; Internet moving pixels; and independent films and videos. In regard to the bond video, “Vote Peoria 2008,” the judges cited “excellent visuals, nice editing and appropriate use of city officers.” For the recycling video, they commended the videography, editing and use of local celebrities. The EMPixx Awards are sponsored by the American Pixel Academy, an organization founded by professionals and educators in the pixel media. View the recycling video at www.peoriaaz.gov/channel_11.
