Teen TEAM Offers Rafting, Magic Mountain Trips

Peoria’s Teen TEAM is offering two travel opportunities over spring break. The first is a four-day rafting trip on the San Juan River in the southern Utah wilderness. The river is fast-moving and the rapids moderate. The trip, which departs Monday, March 16, is for youths ages 12-17 and costs $350 for Peoria residents and $420 for non-residents. The Teen TEAM also is planning a 26-hour “turnaround trip” to Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park near Los Angeles. It will depart at 1 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, and return at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, so the group will be at Magic Mountain from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The trip is for youths ages 13-17, but 11- and 12-year-olds will be permitted with an older sibling or parent. The all-inclusive cost is $145 for Peoria residents and $165 for non-residents. For more information, contact Steve Richardson at 623-773-8620.
