1/14/2009
PEORIA, Ariz. (Jan. 14, 2009) – Understanding marketing and how to reach a target audience are particularly valuable concepts for small business owners – ones that frequently are overlooked. The City of Peoria Economic Development Department’s next small business resource seminar and networking event should help.
The featured speaker will be Heather Brown, owner of Cultural Sponge, a graphic design and marketing firm that specializes in corporate identity, brand building and marketing.
The free event will take place Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Pine Room at Peoria City Hall (8401 W. Monroe Street).
The second hour of the event will allow attendees to meet other small business owners and build a network of contacts. Networking is considered the most important soft skill in business. A representative from the Peoria Chamber of Commerce will introduce basic networking skills as well as present upcoming networking opportunities hosted by the chamber.
Although the event is free, registration is required. For more information and to register, please contact Debbie Pearson in Peoria’s Economic Development Department at
Debbie.Pearson@peoriaaz.gov, or 623-773-7735. Registration closes Feb. 9.
