Asphalt Replacement Scheduled for Stretch of 67th Avenue

A newly widened portion of 67th Avenue will be subject to lane closures from Tuesday, Feb. 13, through Friday, Feb. 16, while a contractor replaces a batch of asphalt. The contractor is expected to close the two northbound lanes from Pinnacle Peak Road to approximately Softwind Drive and shift all northbound traffic to the existing two-way left-turn lane. The project also will require some temporary left-turn restrictions. The city asked the contractor to replace pavement created with a poor batch of material the contractor received from its asphalt supplier.
