Seeking Input for Arts Master Plan
Two Public Meetings Provide Opportunity for Public Comment
10/15/2008
Peoria, Ariz., Oct. 15, 2008 — The City of Peoria
will be holding two public meetings to solicit citizen input and suggestions for
an arts master plan project. The first meeting will be held at the Peoria City
Council Chamber at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. The second meeting
will be held in the Lecture Hall at Sunrise Mountain High School at 7 p.m. on
November 20, 2008.
Jerry Allen and Associates was hired by the City
of Peoria in July to undertake the arts master plan project. The project
involves the firm performing a comprehensive evaluation of Peoria’s arts program
and to provide recommendations that will form the basis of a public art master
plan. The arts master plan will then provide guidance and policy direction to
the City Council and Peoria Arts Commission on a variety of arts-related
matters. A major part of the project consists of public involvement including
public meetings, focus groups, and interviews.
For more information about the arts master plan
project, please contact Communications and Public Affairs Director Grady Miller
