PEORIA, Ariz. (Aug. 13, 2008) – Peoria’s third
Small Business Resource Seminar of 2008 will provide technology and legal tips
for those who own or are considering starting a business in Peoria.
The free half-day workshop will be from 1:30 p.m.
to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, in the Pine Room at City Hall (8401 W. Monroe
Street).
“Our goal is to provide as much information as
possible to help aspiring entrepreneurs be successful,” according to Debbie
Pearson, who manages the Small Business Resource Center for the Economic
Development Department.
The seminar will feature speakers from a variety
of organizations that provide resources for businesses. Topics scheduled for
discussion include the basics of business law; business banking options; an
overview of ASU’s Technopolis program; and working with the Peoria Chamber of
