Officials Kick Off Downtown Peoria Revitalization Process
Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. in City Hall

PEORIA, Ariz. (August 11, 2008) – City officials, a
consultant, and a public advisory board will meet for the first time on Monday,
Aug., 18 at 6 p.m. in City Hall’s Pine Room to discuss updating the Central
Peoria Revitalization Plan.
The goal is to establish a framework and strategy for
revitalization of historic Oldtown Peoria and the surrounding area. During the
kickoff meeting, the group will discuss the project objectives, schedule, and
member roles.
The 28-member group will meet three times over the next
eight months, and schedule two public workshops to solicit input from residents.
Included in the group are Peoria residents, downtown business owners,
developers, and board and commission members who will act as a steering
committee.
