City's Experts Available for Group Recycling Presentations
Want to Know More About Recycling? City Experts Are Available for Group Presentations
1/17/2007
(Peoria,
Ariz.)
Jan. 17, 2007–
Peoria’s
recycling experts are excited about getting out to the community to talk about
the new curbside recycling program that will kick-off this fall.
“We have
explored the programs in other Valley cities with curbside recycling, and talked
at length with our citizen advisory panel, and it’s clear that education will be
the most important part of making this program a success,” said Jesse Duarte,
the city’s Solid Waste Manager. “We’re going to make sure we’re available to
help people understand how the program will work, and what they can and can’t
recycle.”
Peoria
homeowner associations, neighborhood groups, service clubs, and other
organizations are invited to contact Peoria’s Solid Waste Division at
623-773-7836 to schedule a free presentation, or for other information on the
coming program. The program will begin in September, 2007.
