Partial Closures Planned on Pinnacle Peak Rd. at 83rd Ave.
Travel on 83rd Ave. Will Be Maintained

(Peoria, Ariz.) Jan. 12, 2007 – As part of an intersection improvement project, partial closures of Pinnacle Peak Road at 83rd Avenue will occur in the next two weeks.

On January 15, 2007, at 5:00 am, Pinnacle Peak Road will be closed on the east side of 83rd Avenue. The road will reopen by 5:00 pm on January 20, 2007. Eastbound traffic will have to turn either north or south on 83rd Avenue.

A second closure will begin on January 22, 2007 at 5:00 am, when Pinnacle Peak Road on the west side of 83rd Avenue will be closed. It will reopen by 5:00 pm on January, 27, 2007. Westbound traffic will have to turn either north or south on 83rd Avenue.

While both north and south travel on 83rd Avenue will be maintained during this work, 91st Avenue and Deer Valley Road are recommended alternate routes. The intersection improvement project, which includes widening the intersection and adding a traffic signal, is still on schedule for completion this March.
