Sports Complex Hosts Safety Fair, Cancer Fund-Raiser

Complex will host two major events on Saturday, April 26.
• The Banner Thunderbird Children’s Safety Fair will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and
feature fire trucks, police vehicles, safety demonstrations, clowns, rides,
games, music, food and fun. It will include nearly 300 classic and hot-rod cars.
The first 1,200 children 16 and under will receive free bike helmets. And
Andrea’s Closet will accept new, unwrapped toys for pediatric patients at Banner
Thunderbird Medical Center. For more information, contact Melanie Cubbison at

• The Relay For Life will run from 4 p.m. until 10 a.m. Sunday. The Peoria
Diamond Club and the American Cancer Society are teaming up with other community
and business groups to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research. Come
enjoy the activities, music and food at this all-night event for a worthy cause.
