Closures Ahead for Peoria, 83rd Avenues in Oldtown
Brief closures needed for pavement repairs

(Peoria, Ariz.) Jan. 3, 2008 – From Monday, Jan. 7, through Wednesday, Jan. 9, Peoria Avenue will be closed in both directions for pavement repairs at the railroad crossing just north of Grand Avenue (US60). In addition, westbound Peoria Avenue will be closed just south of Grand on Jan. 7 only, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Once the work on Peoria Avenue is done, 83rd Avenue will be closed north of Grand Avenue through Friday, Jan. 18th, for pavement repair at its railroad crossing.

Through lanes on Grand Avenue will not be affected during either of these closures.

Cactus Road and Olive Avenue are recommended alternatives for east- west travel, and 75th Avenue is recommended as a north-south travel alternative.
