Development Impact Fees Being Updated
Fees charged to new construction help offset costs of growth.

The City of Peoria is updating its development impact fees. Impact fees are charged to new construction to help offset the cost of expanding city infrastructure such as streets and water lines to support new growth. The city has been working with development stakeholders since May 2007 to review development projects and the updated fee schedule. The updated fees are expected to be adopted at the December 18, 2007 City Council meeting. If approved, new fees will become effective on March 3, 2008.
