Peoria Continues to Pay Homage to Its Roots
Officials to Dedicate Sculpture of 19th-Century Family on City Hall Campus

The city will dedicate another statue to honor its founding families on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 4:30 p.m. A life-sized bronze sculpture of a 19th-century family, titled “Leading the Way,” will be erected in front of City Hall to the west of the entry plaza. The Peoria Arts Commission selected artist Ann LaRose to create the $80,000 piece.
