Lake Pleasant Park Seeks Chefs for Campground Cook-Off

The county Parks and Recreation Department is seeking chefs to participate in the amateur Lake Pleasant Campground Cook-Off on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Competing teams may consist of up to five people so bring your family, friends and neighbors. Chefs will have the opportunity to test their culinary skills in three categories: chili, stew and dessert. There is a $50 registration fee per team. Spectator admission is $5, plus park entry. Children under 16 are admitted for free when accompanied by a parent. Spectators can participate in drawings and demonstrations, groove to the tunes of Rondavous and enjoy savory samples of food.
