Library to Display Artwork by Peoria Teens

The Peoria Public Library’s Sunrise Mountain Branch will display works from the library’s second-annual Teen Art Contest the weeks of Oct. 15 and Oct. 22. The contest promotes creativity through art for youths ages 13-18. It attracted 70 entries in three categories: one dimensional, two dimensional and sculpture. More than $1,000 in prizes will be awarded -- including first through third place in each division and a best in show – at a 6:30 p.m. reception Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Sunrise Mountain Branch.
