Utility Customers Can Appeal Sewer Rate

Every year, the city calculates a new sewer rate for each customer based on the average water consumption for the months of December, January, and February. The rates are effective July 1 to June 30. If a customer's water usage for the three-month period was not typical - due to filling a pool, a leak, or winter landscaping - he or she may submit a Sewer Fee Appeal by contacting Customer Service at 623-773-7160, or completing the form at www.peoriaaz.gov/customerservice. Appeals must be received by Oct. 31 and are not valid for previous years.
