Farmers Market and Sunday Arts in the Park in Peoria
Events every Sunday through June at the new Osuna Park.

PEORIA, Ariz. (January 9, 2012) – Where can you go to see or purchase art and
local crafts, and at the same time buy some locally grown fresh fruits and
vegetables? Beginning Sunday, January 29 you can enjoy both local crafts, arts
and fresh foods at the Farmers Market and Sunday Arts in the Park at Osuna Park
in Peoria.
The market and arts festival will occur every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
beginning January 29 running through June 24, 2012 at Osuna Park, located at
83rd Avenue and Washington Street in Old Town Peoria.
The new farmers market is called the Peoria Farmers Market in Osuna Park, and
will feature several local growers some with organic produce, ranchers bringing
in grass fed or ranged beef, goat and lamb in season, local eggs, cheeses and
honeys. There will also be a large variety of locally produced foods such as
artisan and
specialty breads and pastries, jellies, salsas, tamales, and other prepared
foods. Hot coffee and teas will be available for drinking at the market area.
The Peoria Sunday Arts in the Park will feature artists and crafters in a
variety of modalities, with the emphasis on local and regional producers.
Additionally chef and cooking demonstrations will be scheduled and other
educational and fun activities such as gardening tips and canning are planned.
