Classes for Adults, Kids Create Art in Time for Holiday
Day of the Dead, Holiday Acrylics, Young Rembrandts, and Many More

Kids ages seven to 12 can create their own Day of
the Dead sugar skull and learn more about the Mexican holiday through this one
day workshop; Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Rio Vista
Recreation Center, 8866 W. Thunderbird Road. $17 for Peoria residents; $24 for
non-residents. Parents are welcome.
Want-to-be artists 16 and older can create a holiday-themed canvas using acrylic
paints. Saturday, Nov. 5 from noon to 4 p.m. at Rio Vista Recreation Center,
8866 W. Thunderbird Road. Taught by published author and illustrator Lindy
Schneider. $37 for Peoria residents, $44 for non-residents; plus $20 supply fee.
Elementary school-aged children can stay after school to learn how to draw
through the Young Rembrandts program. Offered at various Peoria Unified schools,
1st through 5th graders are taught a new subject every week for seven weeks.
Starts on Tues., Nov. 1 or Wed., Nov. 2; $83 for Peoria residents; $90 for
non-residents.
