City Taking Nominations for Historic Preservation Awards

Peoria seeks nominations for its new Historic Preservation Achievement Awards. This program will recognize people, programs and projects helping to preserve the city’s heritage. Individuals, groups and organizations engaged in historic preservation are eligible for the award, as are preservation programs and projects. City officials will announce the winners at the Pioneer Days Celebration on Saturday, April 2. Nominations are due by Jan. 31.
