'Holiday Mail for Heroes' Aims to Boost Morale of Troops

Create a holiday card for an airman, soldier or sailor stationed overseas. Visit the Peoria Main Library on Saturday, Nov. 6, to participate in "Holiday Mail for Heroes." From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library’s Activity Room, individuals can make cards for deployed military personnel. The American Red Cross will collect the cards and send them to troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. For more information, contact Katrina at 623-773-7562.
