Peoria Plans Meeting to Discuss Oldtown Alley Project

The city will host a public meeting Thursday, Oct. 28, to discuss construction in the Washington Street storm drainage alley, including sequencing, scheduling and impacts to adjacent businesses. The meeting will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Point of View Room off the lobby of Peoria’s Development and Community Services Building, on the northeast corner of 85th Avenue and Mountain View Road. Construction is scheduled to begin in early November in the alleyway south of Washington Street between 83rd Avenue and Grand avenues in Oldtown Peoria. It is expected to take about eight weeks.
