Teen TEAM Offers Junior High Dance, Skatepark Tour

Peoria’s Teen TEAM hosts a dance for sixth- through eighth-graders on Friday, Sept. 3, at Rio Vista Recreation Center. The event, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., is a chance for younger teens to hang out, dance and make new friends. The cost is $3 for those with Rio Vista passes and $4 for those without passes. No registration is required. The Teen TEAM also is offering skateboarders a chance to beat the heat with a Labor Day excursion to three skateparks in northern Arizona. The group will depart from Rio Vista at 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 6, and return around 5 p.m. Helmets are required.
