Peoria Offers Free Water Conservation, Landscaping Classes

Peoria is offering a series of free water conservation and landscaping classes during March and April. The series includes:

“Landscaping in the Arizona Desert” – (offered twice) Wednesday, March 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., or Thursday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

“Landscaping for Resource Efficiency” – Thursday, March 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

“Xeriscape: Desert Fusion Garden Lecture and Walking Tour” – Saturday, March 27, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

“Bright Nights” – Thursday, April 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
-
“Cutting Grass and Going Green” – Thursday, April 8, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
-
“Landscape Watering 101” – Thursday, April 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Most of the classes will be in the Point of View Room, off the lobby of Peoria’s Development and Community Services Building at the northeast corner of 85th Avenue and Mountain View Road. However, the March 25 and March 27 sessions will meet in the City Hall Pine Room. Classes are free, but pre-registration is requested.
