Sports Complex is Site for Seniors' Fun Walk

The annual Step Into Spring Fun Walk for adults ages 50 and beyond will be Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Peoria Sports Complex. Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Gate B, with the walk starting at 9 a.m. There will be a Wellness Fair at 10 a.m. and a catered barbecue lunch at 11 a.m. Door prizes and goody bags will be part of the fun, as well as live music provided by Arizona Diamondbacks organist Bobby Freeman. Registration is $15; forms can be downloaded from recreation.peoriaaz.gov or picked up from the Peoria Community Center, 8335 W. Jefferson St., or Rio Vista Recreation Center, 8866 W. Thunderbird Road in Rio Vista Community Park. Completed forms can be dropped off at the same locations or mailed to: Peoria Community Services Department; Attn: Sonja; 8401 W.
