The Governors Office of Highway Safety will be
honoring two Peoria Police Officers during the week of February 11,
2002. Officer Neil Morse and Officer Garry Coulter, who are both
assigned to Peoria PDs Traffic Services Section, will be recognized
for their diligence last year in the enforcement of Child Restraint
and Seat Belt laws.
In 2002, as part of the Governors Office of
Highway Safetys Concentrated Occupant Protection Enforcement
program, Officer Morse issued 54 citations for child restraint
violations, 70 citations for seat belt violations, and 371 other
citations for moving and non-moving violations.
As part of the same program, Officer Coulter issued
112 citations for child restraint violations, 130 citations for seat
belt violations and 298 other citations.
