  Edgefest 2004 is scheduled for Saturday September 18th, from Noon to 10:00 pm at the Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 N. 83rd Avenue. The all day music festival will feature 40 bands on 5 stages, food, a variety of merchandise booths and more.

 During the 2003 event numerous concert attendees were treated by the Peoria Fire Department for heat related illnesses as well as other injuries.

 The Peoria Fire Department and Edge 103.9 want the concert to be an enjoyable and memorable activity. To help, we are providing the following safety reminders:

The day before, concertgoers need to make sure they drink plenty of water to hydrate their bodies.

On the day of the concert;

·        Eat a good meal before coming out to the stadium

·        Bring money with you so you can eat during the day

·        BRING WATER WITH YOU!!!! The stadium will allow you to bring in one sealed     container of water.

·        It’s recommended that you DO NOT wear dark (black, navy blue, etc.), heavy clothing to the concert.

·        WEAR light colored loose fitting clothing so you will remain cooler.

·        Wear closed toe shoes, NO SANDALS. As we see a lot of foot injuries.

·        Limit the consumption of alcohol. Alcohol is not a fluid replacement and if you are going to drink alcohol, eat food as well.
