City of Peoria Introduces Same-Day Service for Both Recycling and Trash

Roll out the New Year with one trip to the curb! Same-day collection and curbside placement commenced the week of Feb. 2, 2015.

For residents, this means both recycling and trash containers will be put out on the same day for collection. Containers need to be placed four feet apart with the rear wheels in the curb/gutter area. If you live on a major arterial thoroughfare, the container may be placed on the sidewalk or at the property edge closest to the street.

There will be recycle and trash trucks collecting throughout the day. Please ensure containers are out by 6:00 a.m. as new routes will not run at the same time.

For more information click here.  For information in Spanish click here.
