Peoria's Oldtown Holiday Festival & Gingerbread Competition
Friday, November 30, 2012
5:00 pm - 9:00pm
Gingerbread House entries due 11/26-11/28 at the Community Center
Nothing will get you into the spirit of the season quicker than a visit to the Oldtown Holiday Festival. Experience the smell of roasted almonds and kettle korn or try those fresh made tamales everyone is talking about.
Nearly 20 tons of snow is brought in for kids young and old to play in. There’s also a choral competition, cookie decorating, make-n-take crafts, entertainment and so much more!
If you’re looking for a unique gift, take a stroll through the Craft Market area where you’ll find several vendors displaying a variety of hand-crafted and specialty items.
Of course this event wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa. How will he arrive this year? Keep a lookout, you just never know how he’ll fly in.
