City of Peoria Youth Scuba Program

The goal of the City of Peoria Youth Scuba Program is to provide opportunities for youth and teens to explore Scuba Diving.  In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of Scuba Diving including dive equipment, safety protocols, and techniques.  You will earn the internationally recognized SDI (Scuba Diving International) Open Water Scuba Diver certification upon successful completion of classroom work, confined water (pool) sessions, and open water (lake or ocean) training dives.

As a certified SDI Open Water Diver, you will have the freedom to dive, around the world, with a buddy, independent of a dive professional.

Scuba Diving Courses

The City of Peoria is a 5 Star SDI (Scuba Diving International) Dive Center. We have experienced dive instructors that will take you through the certification process from classroom to swimming pool to open water (Lake Pleasant, typically). We offer Open Water Certification Dives, SDI Specialty Courses and dive trips. Information about upcoming courses can be found below:

Open Water Certification (Adults, ages 16 and older)

Includes: Program materials, classroom sessions, confined water (pool) sessions, open water (lake) sessions, personal diving gear to keep (mask, fins, snorkel, booties, and gloves), and all applicable rental equipment for the duration of the course.
