Councilmember Tony Rivero's Biography

Tony RiveroCouncilman Rivero was elected to his first term with Peoria City Council in January 2011, representing the Acacia District.

Councilmember Rivero’s dedication to the Acacia District stems from the fact that he was born and raised in the district. He attended Peoria Elementary School, Peoria High School and Arizona State University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s degree in Public Administration. In addition to his formal education he will draw on his experience as an intern for the City Manager’s office as well as other City Departments.

His Council Committee appointments include: Boards and Commissions, Ethics Committee, and Not for Profit Committee.

Councilman Rivero looks forward to working with the constituents of the Acacia district, specifically in ways that will strengthen and improve the community.
