What is a Personal Trainer? Why hire one?

A Personal Trainer is a fitness professional who will help you with your fitness goals. Whether your goals are to improve your overall body composition, physical performance, or health outcomes, your trainer will provide you with the tools you need. They will motivate you by setting goals and providing feedback and accountability. Trainers can also measure client strengths and weaknesses with fitness assessments. He or she will pay close attention to your exercise form, workout routine, and nutrition plan. They may also educate their clients in many other aspects of wellness besides exercise, including general health and nutrition guidelines.
Personal Trainers are nationally certified through different accrediting agencies. The four most popular are: ACE – American Council on Exercise, ACSM – American College of Sports Medicine, NASM – National Academy of Sports Medicine, and NSCA – National Strength and Conditioning Association.
