Sustainability 

Sustainability practices can be applied to virtually everything we do. That’s why the Intergovernmental Affairs Department (IGA) plays an important role in the City’s effort to provide a sustainable community through intergovernmental partnerships and policy level engagement.

IGA staff represents the City in the Sustainable Cities Network, a division of Arizona State University’s Global Institute of Sustainability. The goal of the Sustainable Cities Network is to strengthen efforts to ensure the sustainability of the region.

IGA also assists in the development of sustainable practices within the City by sharing best practices, grant and other opportunities. IGA staff supports the City’s role as a leading influence through key relationships in the public and private sectors.
