About the Engineering Department
The Engineering Department is responsible for providing in-house professional engineering services, which includes project management for streets, drainage and traffic signal capital improvement projects; inspection of private development projects, capital improvement projects, dry utilities and custom home grading and drainage; and traffic management.

Old Town Peoria Traffic Study
The Planning and Community Development completed the Old Town Peoria Revitalization Plan (OTPRP) in 2009. The Plan was adopted by the City Council in December of 2009. The overarching purpose of the OTPRP was to establish the necessary framework and a multi-faceted approach to spur revitalization within the Old Town Peoria. Learn more.
North Peoria Traffic Study
The purpose of the North Peoria Traffic Study (NPTS) is to identify multimodal transportation needs within the area of Union Hills Drive on the south, Westwing Parkway on the north, 67th Avenue on the east, and 107th Avenue on the west. The final report will include a recommended plan of short- and long-term transportation improvements for the study area that will be included in the city’s Capital Improvement Plan. Learn more.
