Provides low income, elderly, disabled and other HUD eligible
individuals with safe, decent and sanitary housing at an affordable
price. Also provides rent subsidy to eligible, very low income
individuals and families through the Section 8 Assistance Program.
These programs are federally funded by HUD. The waiting period for
applicants depends on the length of the waiting list and the
availability of housing.

Special Transportation Services
Provides assisted,
door-to-door, advance reservation transportation to low-income,
disabled, and elderly persons. Trips must originate in
Peoria and terminate outside of Peoria. Hours 7:00 a.m. -
2:00 p.m. (advanced reservations are required)
Trips originating and terminating solely within Peoria are
accommodated through the Peoria Dial-A-Ride Program (see below).
The City of Peoria also provides a program for trips originating
in Peoria and terminating at neighboring medical campuses in Sun
City and Glendale through the Peoria Dial-A-Ride Plus Program
(see below).
